We’re a volunteer group working to bring a skatepark to Pacific Grove.

Our mission is to work alongside the City of Pacific Grove and provide a family-friendly skatepark in our community. We love wheeled sports and see the positive physical and social impacts these spaces have on park users and spectators alike. There are currently no safe spaces to practice skateboarding, roller skating, inline skating, BMX, scooter riding, wheelchair motocross (WCX), and adaptive skateboarding and scootering in Pacific Grove. We want to change that.

Project Leaders

Alex White

Alex White is a mother of 2, a lifelong Pacific Grove resident as well as the Global Brand Manager for Krux Trucks and the Womens and Non-Binary Rider Relations Manager for NHS. Alex was a professional skateboarder in the early 00's, an Olympic Skateboarding Judge, a member for the Gender Equality Commission for Skateboarding’s International Olympic Committee and a skateboard event commentator.

Kelsea Richmond

Kelsea is a local business owner of an action sports loving coffee shop called Captain + Stoker, alongside her fiancé Tyler Ellis. She grew up in West Michigan hanging out at her local skate shop, which had the only ramps in town, where she felt most welcomed as somewhat of a misfit. Tyler is a BMX rider, so together, they often went out of state to ride skateparks and compete with all their friends! They understand the many benefits the skatepark community offers and hope they can be a voice to gain support for the project. Kelsea also runs the Instagram account, and hopefully more to come with everything art + social media!

Emily and John Haselbauer

The Haselbauers are a military family of avid skaters and an enthusiastic spectating skate mom. John is a Navy Helicopter Pilot. Emily runs logistics, catering, risk assessment, and peace talks for the fam, and spends time volunteering in local schools and pursuing ways to keep kids active and engaged with their peers. In their many moves, local skateparks have been a positive community space to make friends and ease the social pressures many kids experience. They want to help build an inclusive space for physical and social growth in Pacific Grove.

Ashley Gamble

Ashley was born and raised in Pacific Grove. She and her husband, Ben, are happy to raise their two boys here. Ashley would love for her boys and other kids in Pacific Grove to have a skatepark in town. Ashley provides graphic design support, website design, and creative marketing and fundraising expertise for the project. She also keeps the groms sugared up on sweet treats at weekend skate sessions!
